Villa Savoye

Nancy has cycled 28,00 Km from Paris to Poissy riding a heavy Velib to visit the most important house of the Modern Movement:

The great Villa Savoye of Le Corbusier!!!
Now she's going to show us in situ the five points of Modern Architecture:

 1. Pilotis

 2. Open-plan

3. Horizontal windows

 4. Free-floating façade

 5. Roof garden

It's nice to discover that you are an educated and curious girl, Nancy!
You must be not only the first doll in history visiting Villa Savoye, but the first non architect ever interested in it... Give our regards to the architects around!

Paris mon amour

Guess what is Nancy London doing...

 She's deboxing another doll....

I have already been to my favourite city ...
Now, Nancy Paris, it's your chance to go to yours, Good Luck!!!

once in the airport...

Oh no, the flight is 3 hours delayed!

Well, I will have plenty of time to explore the airport's secrets

I could save money buying plenty of things I don't really need...

or just seat in these unconfortable chairs and wait for the infinite minutes to pass by...

Well finally, our plane has arrived!!!!

Once in Paris, Nancy takes the Métropolitain to get to the center

 She starts visiting Le Marais...

She loves to hang arround in the chic ambients and arty boutiques!!!

It's a very hot day and the Place des Vosges is full of people sunbathing...

and having a bath in the fountains despite the prohibition

Nancy cannot resist the temptation!

After so much Bon Goût, Nancy decides to go to the Marche aux Puces de Montreuil...

Haute Couture parisien fashion shoes

and the best exclusive french arts and crafts...

But, what's going on in this bridge over the Périphérique?!?

What are all these people selling?
This is not exactly the glamourous Paris I had been told...

You never know what you could find here...

On her second day in Paris, Nancy decides to keep her route inside the classicals...

Why should I pay the Louvre fares if I can find the best reproductions of the masterpieces in the bouquinistes?

And what about all this sand by the Seine river?

They say it's Paris Plage... a beach in the middle of Paris, it's not a bad idea at all!!!

And why are all these coloured pipes in the façade of this buiding?
Do they really need so many of them?

Even if you are not interested in modern art,
the Pompidou Centre is a wise choice for your feet after so much walking!!!

What a better way to finish the day that with some life music?

But if you don't want to be ruined by Paris taxis,
don't forget that the last train leaves at 12,00 AM...

On her last day in Paris, Nancy cannot miss the impressive Galeries Lafayette!

They are queuing to buy luxury!
I had never seen such a big contradiction!

And now that the Arc de Triomphe is done, there's only one important visit missing...

Pardon mademoiselles, pour aller à la Tour Eiffel, s'il vous plaît?

But they are unbelievable, these parisien girls...
They pretend they don't understand me! They don't even see me!

 - Mais, est-ce que tu a vu cette touriste!?!  j'ai compris rien de ce qu'elle a dit.
- Moi nonplus! et ses vetements? Elles étaient vraiment affreuses!!!!

Despite the grey rainy days and the parisiens,
Paris mon amour, je t'aime!
