Just in front of the doors of the market she meets the regular street sellers trying to sell anything found in the garbage
Once inside, she gets absorbed by the chaotic and lively scenario
She loves to get lost among the unpredictable merchandise and people
She spends hours searching
You never know the treasures you could miss!!!
In the market you can also meet new friends: humans or...
dolls...
Many of them have had very bad experiences in life, like physical maltreatments
or family abandonment
But it's impossible: they are too big and expensive for her!
All she can do is confort them and give them hope.
Someday a human will rescue them and give them a new life, like it happened to her some years ago!
to bargain is not only a question of money but a great example of the art of social relationships
In the market Nancy can spend hours admiring anything you can imagine
But she can't be stopped for long or she can be confused with a merchandise for sell!
After so many activities and emotions, Nancy needs to have a rest with a good drink in La Palmera
And finnally, it's time to go back home!
The stands are already closed, and there's only some irregular sellers standing in the corridors
Just before leaving, Nancy stands in front of the walls of the old market
She cannot believe it's the last time that she sees the red letters!!!
On her way home, she sees some of the old market sellers entering their shabby stuff to new luxurious market and she wonders:
Is this the end or just a new beginning???

ReplyDeleteYo hace tiempo que no voy lo poco que encuentras está mas caro que en ebay y encima te encuentras a los vendedores pues que voy a encontrar yo???... y al nuevo edificio pues no he ido aún.
Sí, esta nancy me recuerda a alguien... yo voy bastante y con paciencia y regateo puedes encontrar cosas interesantes, aunque es verdad que muchos de los vendedores, en general porque no se enteran, piden muchos veces unos precios desorbitados!

Con las bolsas y las muñecas, me encanta toda ella, no me extraña que se la quisieran llevar! estuve el fin de semana que inauguraron los nuevos encants, me pareció bien porque es más o menos como antes pero más ordenado y con techo fashion, lo que pasa es que no encontré a los vendedores de muebles, no se donde se ponen ahora, afortunadamente en la parte de abajo sigue habiendo puestos con mil cositas para rebuscar. Las Nancy las suelen vender muy caras, pero me han dicho que si vas a primera hora al metro puedes encontrar más para elegir, tendremos que probar!

DeleteHaces muy bien los montajes, es divertidísimo verlos. Yo creo, como tú, que una despedida también es el inicio de algo nuevo ... pero estuve en Navidad en el nuevo mercado y no sé si es porque andaba algo perdida, pero me pareció que había menos puestos de cosas viejas, donde nos gusta revolver a los que coleccionamos muñecas. Me pareció que había muchos puestos de productos nuevos ¡pero lo que yo quiero es revolver entre los trastos del suelo!. En fin, que he disfrutado mucho con tu Nancy, me he sentido totalmente identificada, gracias por compartirlo.
